I’m really thrilled to post a Film Teaser for the latest addition to our Recovery Voices website, Rhoda Emlyn-Jones OBE from Cardiff in Wales. Rhoda and Wulf have known each other for over 20 years, and they had a fascinating Recovery Voices conversation on 14 December last year.
It was a real privilege for me to edit a series of 11 films, totalling just over 79 minutes, for Rhoda’s People page and 30 short clips for her Themes playlist. The conversation covered a wide range of interesting topics. These films will be accessible on our Recovery Voices and Recovery Themes YouTube channels from next week. Wulf will introduce Rhoda in a blog post on Monday.
For now, I leave you with Rhoda’s Teaser and her short bio.
Recovery Voices Teaser: Rhoda-Emlyn-Jones OBE
Rhoda Emlyn-Jones from Cardiff, Wales, has developed a wide range of services over the past 40 years that deliver proven effective interventions to thousands of individuals and families. Her successful Option 2 service works intensively with families where parents experience substance use difficulties and whose children are at risk of being taken into care. She supported the Welsh Government in the roll-out of Integrated Family Support Services (IFSS), which draws heavily on the learning from Option 2.
Rhoda currently works in an independent capacity supporting health and social care organisations throughout the UK in strategic workforce development. She was awarded Welsh Woman of the Year in 2007, and an OBE in 2009 for services to disadvantaged families.
